big break my butt

so yesh, domedidome is a tad bit too so cal for you. more like busy as shit, and i'm loving it. back to the beginning... did i say how incredibly awesome it was to have a potential boss review your resume and respond with "oh, interior design, you are going to be PERFECT." well, it was. so i've been an art department intern for a couple of really long weeks now, and today is one of my first days off. and let me tell you, after being on your feet for an average of 14 hours a day, your days off turn into lethargic laying on the couch for hours at a time and not even being able to do loads of laundry that have been waiting for weeks. i could go on forever about how much i love/hate this new job venture, but i'll just keep it short so i can post pictures instead. we pulled one all-nighter at this sikh temple which you'll see in a minute, but most of the other nights/days have consisted of waking up at 4 or 5am, setting up shop before crew call at 7am, ending the day somewhere between 7-9pm, and staying an hour or two to paint everything back, clean up, etc. it's been really crazy and disorganized, which i won't discuss because it'll ruin my day off mood, but i'm really loving it. in fact i've already secured a paying job that starts right after this one ends, which is sweet as shit. not going to film school and only having to intern for one job is what i was planning on, but isn't easy to do. anyway, time for photos, sorry if they're blurry, it's a pain in the ass to turn the flash on when you have to scream out "FLASHING" every time you take a photo.

that's all for now. if any of you are really bored you can check out this website www.400blows.com for more behind the scenes shots.

i have to go make some fake magazine covers now. speaking of magazine covers, the new metropolis has a mega-article on the new Bloomberg HQ i worked on while i was in nyc. [kimmy, did you work on bloomberg too?] anyway, it's damn sweet. it's nice to finally see something quite awesome come out of a bunch of black and white line drawings.
lara, the apt is looking perfect. i hate the new said website, but maybe i'm still jaded. i miss everyone, a lot. i'm also starting to hate los angeles less and less every day, mainly because i'm freeway driving way too early and way too late to hit any traffic. but, if anyone wants to come visit, i'll be here for a while, same with greg and luke. speaking of that, we're supposed to hang out. i'll have to see about that...
later kids.
