i don't think i've giggled like this in a long time

ahem. i am pleased to announce that, yes, i've found a job.

now, before you all get too excited, there are some "perks" that i must explain. and by perks i'm talking about what most people might label "cons".
numero uno: i'm not getting paid.
numero dos: umm, i think that's it.
to cut to the chase, i've secured yet another intern position in the art department working on a full length feature indie film. it's going to be something just like "bend it like beckham" except Hollywood acting takes the place of soccer. it's going to take about a month, with a few days off here and there. meanwhile, i've signed a "bitch" contract with my parents for moving back in, meaning i do all the house chores, plus errands like dry cleaning and grocery shopping, cook meals, communicate with my little brother because my parents are too lazy to, and fix anything that is broken all for the sake of earning my keep and perhaps paying off a little bit of money i owe them. perhaps only if i clean the pool really, really well, and frequently.
irregardless, i'm hoping this will open many doors, if not one, with pay. my new boss, the art director, made it clear that i will meet more than enough influential people with more than enough paying jobs, and i didn't even have to ask her for that reassurance. to top it all off, i will have my name plastered on yet another corner of the world wide web: imdb.com .
that AND they're paying for my meals. [we all know how important that is!]
this is going to be so great.
